Boston

Performance Edition pianos designed by Steinway & Sons in New York for all uses, from family enjoyment in the home to intensive institutional use at Conservatories and Music Schools.

"Aspen" GP193 Ebony Polish

"This Aspen Festival piano has really settled in beautifully." according to Ike Van Meter, Institutional Sales Director and ASO Chorus Member. "It has a nice light touch and a clarity of sound that is unique to this particular instrument."

The piano referred to is a 6'4" Boston Performance Edition grand piano by Steinway & Sons that was used in recent years at the famous Aspen Music Festival. Steinway and Steinway-designed Boston pianos have for many years been the official pianos of the Festival and are used for practice and rehearsal purposes, as well as for Festival performances.

This particular piano (Serial #B171676) has a beautifully rich sound due to the unusually large soundboard for this size piano. It has great projection, while still having the mellow but clear tone that Steinway & Sons is known for.

The piano is in excellent technical condition. The cabinet is in good shape since the piano was only used for a few years, and can be buffed out at minimal cost to look new again.

The piano still carries the original 10 year manufaturer's warranty, comes with the matching bench and includes the first in-home tuning free.
