"ASO" 1098 Upright
Steinway & Sons has long been the official piano of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Three of their Steinways are model D concert grands, 2 of which are used exclusively on stage for concerts and recitals - one manufactured in Hamburg, Germany and the most recently acquired one from the New York factory.
This Steinway model 1098 upright piano (Serial #598036) was used for a number of years in the green room as a warm up and rehearsal piano. Like all of the Symphony Steinways, it was maintained by their technician - one of the most pre-eminant technicians in Atlanta.
This instrument would be equally well suited for either a home, studio or in an institutional environment. The piano is now available for purchase. It includes the original factory warranty, a matching bench and the first tuning in the home.
