It is also encased in a gorgeous mahogany lustre satin cabinet that has a beautiful sheen without being patent leather shiny. The current Steinway uprights in natural wood veneers are part of their "Crown Jewel Collection". 

This original condition piano was originally purchased from us - this is a one owner piano that has been maintained perfectly.

The model 1098, along with the larger 52" K52 upright, is used by many conservatories and music schools in their practice rooms because it is so sturdy and can withstand years of constant play typical of music schools. It encompasses key Steinway design patents like accelerated action, diaphragmatic soundboard and custom Steinway-designed hammers.
