Steinway O Ebony (SOLD)
SOLD! Steinway O Ebony Satin! Just returned from the refinisher (both cabinet and plate have been beautifully restored), this instrument is currently undergoing the final stages of rebuild - installation of a brand new Steinway & Sons action and new keytops. It will be available for audition in late Fall.
It is absolutely gorgeous looking, and when the action-work is completed it will feel and sound as good as it looks. As with any used or rebuilt piano from Steinway Piano Galleries, the bench is included along with a certified, pre-owned warranty. The first tuning in the home is free.
As an alternative, also consider a new Steinway-designed Boston GP178 5'10" baby grand for slightly less. With its wide tail design, the soundboard area is roughly the same as the larger Steinway A 6'2" model. The accelerated action geometry is identical in both pianos for the most reponsive action.
