The piano belongs to Yamaha's higher end Conservatory Series pianos - currently the CX Series. It has also been the most popular size (6'1") in the Conservatory Series for many decades.
This Yamaha C3 has a larger soundboard and longer strings than the typical small baby grand, thus producing a bigger sound. Also, the action is more responsive than smaller grands, particularily the non-Conservatory models.
At a list price of $60K for a new one, this is also a great value. The bench is included, as well as a free first tuning in the home and a five year warranty for complete peace of mind.
