Ibach FII Mahogany Polish
This conservatory level Ibach FII Mahogany Polish grand piano is absolutely gorgeous! At 5'11" in length, it has a big full sound and the kind of action that a player needs to express themselves musically. This is truly a piano built in the European tradition of high quality touch, tone and craftsmanship.
The original purchaser of the piano new in1988 donated the instrument to the Highlands Cashiers Chamber Music Festival in North Carolina as a very generous philanthropic gift. Only recently was the piano traded in for a new Steinway Model B 7' grand, fullfilling a need for a larger instrument.
Founded in 1794, Ibach was one of the great German piano builders, hand-crafting fine instruments until 2007. Rudolf Ibach's widow, along with owners/family members Rudolf and Max Ibach were awarded the Imperial and Royal Warrant of Appointment to the court of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in appreciation of their contribution to music and culture.
Built in 1988, this piano was signed on the plate by Rudolf C. Ibach. The piano includes a 5-Year Parts & Labor Warranty, first free tuning in the home, and a matching bench. Also included is a 10-Year full trade to a future new Steinway grand purchase!
As an alternative for comparison, also consider a Steinway designed Boston GP178 5'10" grand with 30+ design patents and innovations from the legendary Steinway & Sons in NY.
